Conflict in the Middle East is a 'convenient excuse' for the US to abandon Ukraine

(Baonghean.vn) - SwebbTV reports the opinion of analysts that the conflict between Israel and Hamas could become a convenient excuse for the US to divert the attention of the world community, and withdraw from the conflict between Russia and Ukraine.

RT quoted analyst Magnus Stenlund in an interview with SwebbTV, saying that the bloody conflict between Israel and Hamas could become a convenient excuse for the US to withdraw from the "failed proxy war against Russia in Ukraine".

According to Stenlund, if Washington had explained the decision as “the need to redistribute resources,” then they could have been forgiven for refusing aid to Ukraine.

Media attention has shifted from Ukraine to developments in Israel, which, according to Stenlund, is convenient for some, because the conflict in Ukraine is ultimately a major defeat for the West.

According to Stenlund, in the current situation, the world will be “more focused” on Israel, rather than Ukraine, where “not much is happening anymore.” The media reports the same information day after day.

Analyst Magnus Stenlund explains that the US and NATO will be forced to “abandon” Ukraine, as they have already done. In any case, the US can use the conflict in the Middle East as a “logical” reason to redirect Washington’s aid.

Experts also believe that Western countries may try to manipulate the situation, such as carrying out a "false flag" attack and blaming Russia.

To clarify this statement, SwebbTV cited that recently several undersea gas pipelines between Finland and Estonia, or between Sweden and Estonia, were destroyed.

Previously, on October 19, at 8:00 p.m. (local time), US President Joe Biden spoke from the White House, calling on the US Congress to approve emergency military aid to Israel and Ukraine.

The White House is calling on Congress to approve $100 billion in funding to provide assistance and resources to Ukraine, Israel, Taiwan, the Asia-Pacific region, and the US-Mexico border.

The US Congress has so far approved $110 billion in aid for Ukraine, including $49.6 billion in military aid, $28.5 billion in economic aid, $13.2 billion in humanitarian assistance, and $18.4 billion to strengthen the US defense industry's capacity to maintain weapons supplies to Kiev./.
