Yen Thanh: 86,000 patients were examined and treated with Oriental medicine
(Baonghean.vn) - On December 16, the Oriental Medicine Association and the Acupuncture Association of Yen Thanh district held a summary of the association's work in 2015.
In 2015, the district's clinics, facilities, pharmacies, and drugstores in Yen Thanh district examined and treated more than 86,000 patients with Oriental medicine. Of which, 6,600 patients were treated without medication; nearly 2,000 patients were examined, consulted, and given free medicine, with 650 free doses, worth over 52 million VND.

To contribute to providing more oriental medicine for physicians, the association has exploited nearly 40,000 kg of medicinal herbs from localities and 35 herbal gardens of members. Many members have invested in raising deer to get velvet antlers as a valuable medicine in treating diseases.
On this occasion, 8 individuals with positive contributions to the development of Oriental Medicine were awarded commemorative medals. Individuals with outstanding achievements in 2015 were awarded by the Central Association, Provincial Association and District Association of Oriental Medicine./.
