Yen Thanh handed over Trai Xanh reservoir worth nearly 11 billion VND
(Baonghean.vn) - Yen Thanh district has just organized the acceptance, handover and put the Trai Xanh water reservoir project in Bac Thanh commune into use, serving agricultural production and people's lives.
This is a level 4 irrigation project, repaired and upgraded according to the project of the Provincial People's Committee, increasing the storage capacity to 200 thousand m3.3with a total investment of 10 billion 901 million VND. Accordingly, the dam body is 263m long, the dam surface is 5m wide; the dam body is treated with compacted soil, ensuring the technical coefficient of waterproofing.

The upstream slope is covered with rubble and reinforced with reinforced concrete, 0.12m thick; the downstream slope is planted with grass to prevent erosion; the water intake and spillway are upgraded and expanded according to the design frequency. In addition, some auxiliary works such as the operation house and 767m of irrigation canals are also renovated, providing irrigation water for 55 hectares of agricultural land and domestic water for people in 3 highland hamlets of Bac Thanh commune.

After 2 years of urgent construction, despite many difficulties, the contractor has tried to complete the project on schedule, through quality inspection ensuring that the project is in accordance with the technical design.
After the acceptance and handover of the project, the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development and the People's Committee of Yen Thanh district requested the local authorities to exploit and protect the dam well, to serve agricultural production as well as safely operate flood and storm prevention work./.
