Woman asked to delete post for spreading false information about nCoV epidemic

On the morning of February 7, Tan Ky District Police summoned Ms. LTG, owner of the Facebook account "Giang Le" residing in Ky Son Commune (Tan Ky) to clarify the case of posting false information about the prevention and control of the Corona virus epidemic on her personal Facebook.
Accordingly, on his personal Facebook page "Giang Le" shared a post with the following content:"... Due to the Corona virus, all Chinese border gates are temporarily closed, so many Vietnamese goods cannot be exported to China... Currently, in the area of Son La and Dien Bien provinces, there are people spreading rumors that a Lao couple has just given birth. The newborn child can speak and eat eggs to prevent diseases, so many people in the Son La and Dien Bien areas rushed to buy eggs. Now the price of eggs has started to increase again...".

Through the work of grasping the situation, Tan Ky District Police promptly discovered, verified and summoned Ms. LTG, owner of the Facebook account "Giang Le" residing in Ky Son commune to work on the content of sharing untrue information on social networks related to the work of preventing and fighting the Corona epidemic.
Ms. LTG's behavior violated the Law on Cyber Security and Decree 174/2013/ND-CP of the Government.
After the meeting, Ms. LTG admitted that due to lack of knowledge, she shared false content. Considering that the purpose and behavior did not leave serious consequences, Tan Ky District Police made a record, asked Ms. G. to delete the post, write a commitment and post a correction.
Since the evening of February 6, in Tuong Duong, Ky Son and some other mountainous districts, including Tan Ky district, there have been false rumors that eating boiled eggs can cure all diseases. Many stories have been fabricated that there was a child who was born able to talk, and that if anyone does not eat eggs tonight, they will die tomorrow.
Tan Ky District Police confirmed that this is completely false information, without scientific basis. Everyone should be vigilant and not listen to it. The police will handle cases of posting false information, not true to the truth according to the law./.
