Bluebeard rapes girl in cemetery, sentenced to 5 years in prison
(Baonghean.vn) - Truong Van Tam lied about taking Th. home, but then took Th. to the cemetery area in Nha Tra hamlet (Dong Van commune, Tan Ky) and committed a depraved act.
On the afternoon of April 24, Tan Ky District People's Court tried the criminal case against Truong Van Tam, born in 1991, residing in Nha Tra hamlet, Dong Van commune, Tan Ky district, for the crime of"Rape of a person under 16 years old”.
According to the indictment, at about 20:00 on January 30, 2020, Tam drank beer at Mr. Xuan and Mrs. Ly's house in Tan Dong hamlet, Dong Van commune with him, his wife and siblings Truong Van Van born in 1999, Truong Van Hung born in 1997, Truong Thi Thuong born in 2005 and NTTh (born in 2007, residing in Nha Tra hamlet, Dong Van commune).
A moment later, Th. went into the kitchen of Mr. Xuan and Mrs. Ly's family, then Tam followed and teased the child.

At around 10 p.m. the same day, Van drove Thuong and Hung home first. At this time, Tam wanted to have sex with Th. so he lied, "Your dad is looking for a place to beat up." Hearing that, Th. got on Tam's motorbike to go to Thuong's house to sleep. Thuong got rice for Th. to eat.
After Th. finished eating, Tam pretended to answer the phone and said, "Your father is holding a knife, come here, I'll take you home." Hearing that, Th. got into Tam's car. However, Tam did not take Th. home but took him to the cemetery area in Nha Tra hamlet, stopped the car, hugged and pulled Th. down and committed a depraved act. Although Th. fiercely resisted, Tam still carried out his despicable act.
At the time Truong Van Tam committed the rape, NTTh. was only 12 years, 5 months, and 16 days old.
On January 31, 2020, Th. and his family went to Dong Van Commune Police, Tan Ky District to report the rape of Truong Van Tam. Dong Van Commune Police transferred the case to the Investigation Police Agency (Tan Ky District Police) for handling.
On January 31, 2020, Tam surrendered to the police and paid civil compensation to Th.'s family of 25 million VND.
At the end of the trial, the panel sentenced Truong Van Tam to 5 years in prison.
