100 athletes participate in the 22nd National Wrestling Championship in Nghe An

The National Wrestling Championship is held annually to evaluate the organization, selection and training of athletes in localities. At the same time, it promotes the practice of wrestling among the masses, especially the youth, contributing to the development of the practice and competition movement of wrestling in general and wrestling in particular.

This year, the tournament took place in Nam Dan district - the hometown of President Ho Chi Minh, which is also a locality with a tradition of preserving and promoting the cultural values ​​of national wrestling. The tournament is also an opportunity to meet the people's need to enjoy sports culture, thereby promoting national pride.

Participating in this year's tournament are nearly 100 athletes from 8 delegations from provinces, cities and sectors with strong traditional wrestling movements in the country, including: Hanoi, Bac Giang, Thai Nguyen, Vinh Phuc, Kinh Bac Traditional Wrestling Association, Dong Nai, People's Public Security and Nghe An.

Athletes compete in 12 weight categories from under 48kg to 85kg and above.

The tournament took place from September 8 to September 12. Immediately after the opening ceremony, the first 7 matches of the qualifying round took place amid enthusiastic cheers from a large audience.
