According to the Interdisciplinary Inspection Team for compliance with laws on standards, measurements, quality and product labels in gold production and trading under Decision No. 3700/QD-UBND dated August 1, 2016 of the People's Committee of Nghe An province, in the past time, 54/170 gold production, trading and processing establishments in the province were inspected.

Through inspection, it was determined that 12/54 establishments violated quality regulations; 1 establishment violated the declaration of applicable standards; 5 establishments violated the labeling of goods; 1 establishment violated the measurement regulations.

The interdisciplinary delegation sealed the gold sample at a business establishment.

According to the representative of the interdisciplinary delegation, all 60 gold jewelry and fine art samples of 54 establishments were tested at the Technical Center for Standards and Quality Measurement I (a testing laboratory designated by the Ministry of Science and Technology to test gold samples). Through testing, it was determined that 14 samples from 12 production establishments had quality that did not conform to the announced applicable standards, with gold content close to the permitted level.

The interdisciplinary inspection team worked directly to announce the test results and disseminate regulations on the right to test control samples. All 12 violating facilities admitted their violations and did not request to test control samples.

Based on regulations, the Inspection Team imposed administrative penalties and forced the violating facilities to recycle products that violated quality.
