Morning of May 21, at Vinh Citadel, Cua Nam ward,Vinh CityThe first Vinh Citadel Half Marathon 2023 took place.
This is an activity to celebrate the 60th anniversary of Vinh City, 235 years of Phuong Hoang Trung Do and 15 years of Vinh City becoming a class 1 urban area.

The first Vinh Citadel Half Marathon in 2023 has 135 athletes from localities across the province competing in 2 events, including 21km and 10km distances.
Speaking at the tournament, Mr. Dang Hieu Lam - Chairman of the People's Committee of Cua Nam Ward said: This is the first time the locality has organized a Marathon but has received enthusiastic responses from people from all localities. The number of registrants exceeded the initial expectation. After the success of this tournament, the locality will propose that the city continue to open more Marathon races in the coming time, both to increase the sports spirit and improve the health of the people, and to promote the image of Vinh Citadel to friends and tourists from near and far.

The Marathon route takes place around Vinh Citadel. Here, traffic safety is strictly implemented by Cua Nam Ward, at intersections on the running route, there are functional forces to regulate traffic, ensuring a safe distance for athletes. In addition, there are also refreshment stations for athletes in hot weather conditions.

After about 3 hours of exciting competition, the organizers awarded prizes to outstanding athletes in each distance of 21km and 10km.
