200 delegates attended the training course "Digitalization of television transmission and broadcasting"
(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of November 14, the Institute of Information and Communications Strategy - Ministry of Information and Communications coordinated to organize a training conference on "Digitalization of terrestrial television transmission and broadcasting for grassroots information officers" in Thanh Hoa, Nghe An, and Ha Tinh provinces.
In the past 10 years, the process of digitalizing television has become an inevitable trend, and television digitization activities have taken place in the world and the region. From 2015 to present, Vietnam has also actively implemented the digitalization of terrestrial television transmission and broadcasting to ensure effective development and successful international integration in the field of television.

According to the Government's roadmap for digitalizing terrestrial television broadcasting, Thanh Hoa, Nghe An, and Ha Tinh are in group III and will end analogue terrestrial television broadcasting on December 31, 2018 to completely switch to digital terrestrial television.
At the training session, more than 200 delegates who are grassroots information officers of Thanh Hoa, Nghe An, Ha Tinh provinces listened to the reporters from the Radio Frequency Department, Nghe An Department of Information and Communications, Institute of Information and Communications Strategy introduce an overview of the roadmap and implementation of digitalization of terrestrial television transmission and broadcasting; the role of localities in digitalizing television and the situation of digitalizing television in Nghe An; grassroots information officers with digital communication work. Through that, units and localities carry out propaganda and dissemination work for people to know and implement.

The training conference also aims to equip local newspaper and radio reporters and grassroots information officers with general knowledge about the roadmap for digitalization of terrestrial television transmission and broadcasting, the benefits of digital television as well as enhance the role of grassroots information officers. From there, it will help Thanh Hoa, Nghe An and Ha Tinh officials effectively implement plans and roadmaps in their localities, contributing to the successful implementation of the Government's policy of digitalizing television to all classes of people.
