250 actors participate in the 2022 National Tuong and Folk Opera Festival

The festival is a professional art activity to preserve, promote and popularize the traditional cultural and artistic values ​​of Vietnam, held on the occasion of the 132nd anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's birthday. In the opening speech of the FestivalTuong and Folk SongsNational Drama Festival 2022, Meritorious Artist Tran Ly Ly affirmed that the National Tuong and Folk Drama Festival 2022 is an opportunity for artists to express their passion for the profession, showcase their talents as well as their desire to create, their desire to contribute, and nurture their passion for the profession. This is also an opportunity for state management agencies to recognize and honor artistic talents, thereby having accurate assessments and perceptions of the current situation of artists working in traditional theatrical arts such as Tuong and Folk Drama.

This year's festival has the participation of 250 actors from 11 professional Tuong and Folk Opera art units across the country with 16 performances (including 9 Tuong plays and 7 folk opera plays).

The performance schedule of the units will take place until May 28, 2022 at the Nghe An Traditional Arts Center (Folk Song Theater), 30 Nguyen Sy Sach, Vinh City (morning session starts at 9:00 am, evening session starts at 8:00 pm). As planned, the closing ceremony and award ceremony will take place on May 28, 2022.
