28 thousand firecrackers on passenger buses on Tet holiday
(Baonghean.vn) - A passenger bus on its way from Laos to Vietnam transporting about 28,000 firecrackers was seized by the Traffic Police that same night.
On the afternoon of January 20, Traffic Police Team 1-46 under the Provincial Police Traffic Police Department said that the above incident was carried out by the team's working group in coordination with Traffic Police Team No. 4 (under the Provincial Police Traffic Police Department) at 8:30 p.m. on January 19, 2017, at km19, National Highway 46, through Hung Nguyen district.

At that time, the police force received information from the people that a Lao-licensed vehicle was transporting a large quantity of firecrackers from abroad to Nghe An for sale.
Immediately, the working groups of the two teams deployed their forces and intercepted the vehicle on Highway 46. When the passenger car with Laotian license plate 6888 was traveling from Thanh Chuong to Vinh City, the working group signaled it to stop for inspection.
Upon inspection, police discovered that the passenger bus was transporting about 28,000 foreign-made firecrackers weighing more than 43 kg.
The driver's name was Ngo Sy Hai (born in 1979), residing in Dien Ky commune, Dien Chau district, and the bus assistant's name was Nguyen Quoc Huy (born in 1989), residing at the same address as Hai.
The working group prepared an initial profile, handed over the subject, evidence and vehicle to Hung Nguyen District Police for further investigation.
