The Nghi Son - Dien Chau route is 50km long, phase 1 has a scale of 4 lanes, a design speed of 80km/h, starting at the intersection with Nghi Son - Bai Tranh road, in Tinh Gia district (Thanh Hoa); ending at the intersection with National Highway 7, Dien Chau district (Nghe An). Meanwhile, the Dien Chau - Bai Vot route is 49.3km long, with a design speed of 100-120km/h, the section passing Than Vu mountain has a design speed of 80km/h.
