47 months in prison for a group of people who gambled after a drinking party

On January 30, Tan Ky District People's Court tried a criminal case against 7 subjects in Tan Ky for gambling.

According to the indictment, at 12:30 p.m. on December 3, 2017, Vo Dinh Hanh, Nguyen Quoc Hao and Vo Van Cong went to Le Van The's house in Hamlet 13, Tan Huong Commune, Tan Ky District to drink alcohol.

After that, the subjects came up with the idea of ​​gambling by shaking the dice, agreeing to place the lowest bet of 100,000 VND/game, the highest bet of 500,000 VND/game, the gamblers themselves put money on the even or odd side as they like to bet with the dealer.

After 30 minutes of gambling, Nguyen Van Tan, Nguyen Thanh Ngoc and Mai Van Tho joined the gambling.

At 6:00 p.m. the same day, while they were gambling and the homeowner was watching, they were caught red-handed by Tan Ky district police. They seized 1 porcelain bowl, 1 porcelain plate, 4 prostitutes and 8,900,000 VND from the gambling table, and 5,100,000 VND from Cong.

The investigation proved that the subjects used 14 million VND for gambling, of which Tan was the one who used the most, 3,500,000 VND. So the homeowner, although not participating in gambling, was an accomplice with the subjects in the gambling act as a helper.

In this case, there were many recidivists such as: Hanh, The, Ngoc were tried by Tan Ky District People's Court for gambling, Tho was tried for theft of property.

At the investigation agency, the defendants confessed to all their crimes, consistent with the evidence collected during the investigation of the case.

At the end of the trial, the panel sentenced: Hanh to 11 months in prison, Hao to 9 months in prison, The to 7 months in prison, Cong to 9 months suspended, Tho to 6 months suspended, Ngoc to 5 months suspended and Tan was fined 8 million VND.
