At the online training conference to implement the Diagnostic Guidelines,Covid-19 treatment7th edition, on the afternoon of October 7, Mr. Luong Ngoc Khue - Director of the Department of Medical Examination and Treatment Management, Ministry of Health said that the 4th epidemic with the new strain Delta has caused very serious consequences. However, Vietnam is gradually controlling the epidemic and reducing deaths.
To achieve this, Director Luong Ngoc Khue said that the leaders of the Ministry of Health have directed many drastic measures and issued many documents and instructions.
At the same time, the Ministry of Health has established a special standing working unit to support Ho Chi Minh City and the southern provinces in disease prevention and control.
In addition, working groups from the Ministry of Health have repeatedly visited Ho Chi Minh City, Binh Duong, Long An, Dong Nai, Can Tho, Vinh Long, Tien Giang... to direct epidemic prevention and control work, and develop policies, strategies, and solutions to control deaths.
Mr. Luong Ngoc Khue also presented five measures that have helped Vietnam control the number of new cases and deaths.

The firstis to implement F1 isolation at home.
Monday,In the context of the increasing number of cases, the number of Covid-19 patients becoming seriously ill and needing timely hospitalization for treatment, and the confusion of local medical facilities in receiving and treating patients, the Ministry of Health issued Decision No. 3992/QD-BYT on August 18 on assigning upper-level hospitals to directly provide professional support in the management and treatment of Covid-19 in Ho Chi Minh City.
Decision No. 4111/QD-BYT dated August 26 on promulgating the document on Guidelines for establishing Covid-19 admission and treatment facilities according to the 3-storey tower model. Classifying the risk of Covid-19 patients according to Decision No. 3646/QD-BYT issued on July 31 on criteria for classifying the risk of people infected with SARS-CoV-2.
"This has significantly impacted the reduction of deaths by classifying high- and very high-risk subjects for continuous monitoring, monitoring the progression of patients who become seriously ill or need timely hospitalization. At the same time, it helps hospitals to be less confused in the context of the increasing number of cases, the Covid-19 treatment department is always overloaded," said Mr. Luong Ngoc Khue.
