5 tips to help men avoid cancer
With cancer, the best way is to prevent the disease such as not smoking, exercising regularly, eating fish...
Despite many advances in treatment, cancer is still a scary disease for many people. Therefore, the best way is still to prevent the disease and reduce the risk factors for developing cancer.
No smoking
The most important measure many experts recommend is not smoking.
Tobacco is the cause of 30% of all cancers in humans, including lung, stomach, esophagus, larynx, pancreas, oral cavity, and bladder cancers. Cigarette smoke contains more than 40 different types of cancer-causing chemicals. Smokers who also drink alcohol are at an even higher risk of developing the disease.

Reasonable diet
According toMesnhealth, a diet rich in vegetables, fiber, and omega-3 fats can help control inflammation and prevent cancer. Conversely, a diet high in animal fat and low in fiber increases the risk of colorectal and breast cancer.
Get enough exercise
Oncologist Keith McCrae, of the Cleveland Cancer Institute, said that despite his busy schedule, he still makes time to exercise six days a week. He enjoys cycling 40-50 km per week.
Research shows that 1.25 hours of high-intensity exercise or 2.5 hours of moderate-intensity exercise a week can reduce the risk of dying from cancer by up to 31% compared to sedentary people.
Snack with nuts
Oncologist Matthew Yurgelun, MD, of the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, shares his cancer prevention tips by eating almonds or pistachios. It’s a great way to stave off hunger instead of eating foods high in sugar or fat. These unhealthy foods can cause you to gain weight and develop obesity-related diseases, including cancer.
Eat fish
Have a piece of salmon with brown rice and vegetables for dinner every two weeks. Dr. Christopher Saigal, a urologist at the University of California, Berkeley, often tells his patients that heart-healthy foods help reduce the risk of prostate cancer and also help slow the progression of the disease after diagnosis.
Additionally, a British study also found a link between red meat and processed meat and colorectal cancer.
