52 Nghe An students with high scores in the 2023 High School Graduation Exam were awarded nearly 750 million VND
(Baonghean.vn) - The reward for each student with high scores this year is higher than last year, after the State adjusted the basic salary from 1.49 million VND to 1.8 million VND.
Previously, the rewards for students who won international gold and silver medals, national excellent students and other awards of Nghe An were based on Resolution No. 11/2028/NQ-HDND dated December 12, 2018 of the People's Council of Nghe An province on the reward policy for collectives and individuals with high achievements in international, national and provincial competitions in Nghe An province.
Specifically, for students who win gold medals in competitions from Southeast Asia - regional - international, the lowest reward is 10 times the basic salary and the highest is 60 times the basic salary (depending on the medals won by the students).
For students who win prizes in national competitions for excellent students, the reward will be from 3 to 10 times the basic salary (depending on the prize).
As for students who achieve high scores in the national high school exam, depending on each specific school year, the Department of Education and Training shall preside over and coordinate with the Emulation and Reward Board and relevant agencies to advise and submit to the Provincial People's Committee Chairman to issue a Decision to reward. However, the maximum reward shall not exceed 08 times the basic salary.

The reward for each student this year is 14,400,000 VND, calculated according to the new basic salary level. Last year, this reward level was calculated according to the old basic salary level of 11,920,000 VND. The total reward amount for 52 students with high scores is 748,800,000 VND.
Thus, along with students who won high prizes in international and regional Olympia competitions, students who won prizes in national competitions, this year, Nghe An spent nearly 3 billion VND to reward students.
