On the morning of March 28, at the Vinh market bus station area, detecting suspicious signs, Vinh City Police inspected truck with license plate 51C - 81394 driven by driver Phan Van Dat (born in 1980, residing in Hung Thang commune, Hung Nguyen district). At this time, Phan Van Phong (born in 1974, residing in Trung Do ward, Vinh city) was also on the vehicle as a co-driver.
Checking the truck, the police discovered 6 sacks of fabric and 16 sacks of coffee beans weighing 850 kg. After examination, the results showed that only 200 kg were whole coffee beans, the remaining 650 kg were fake coffee.
With the naked eye, the police determined that this fake coffee could be soybeans that have been roasted, then soaked in additives and flavorings to create the aroma of real coffee.

Dat and Phong admitted that the coffee belonged to Duc Phat Coffee Company Limited, headquartered in Thuan An Town (Binh Duong). Working with the police, the company's representative admitted that the goods belonged to them but they had sold them to several sources and then rented a car to transport them to Nghe An for consumption.
Vinh City Police are completing the file to handle violations according to regulations.
