According to the indictment, from December 12, 2014 to January 28, 2015, Thanh, Hung, and Hung were technical drivers, assigned to a team and working the same shift under the direction of the airport management department, with the task of transporting mechanics and engineers from the Company to where Jetstar Pacific planes were parked at Tan Son Nhat airport to perform technical inspections and maintain engines and machinery of planes parked for more than 6 hours overnight. The aircraft maintenance process included draining Jet A1 oil (jet fuel used for aircraft) at many points on the aircraft to take samples for testing to ensure flight safety.

Thanh, Hung, and Hung were responsible for pouring the oil into 200-liter drums on technical vehicles, then bringing them to the technical building for storage and processing according to regulations... Taking advantage of loopholes in the management of oil discharge and transportation of Jet A1 oil of Jetstar Pacific Airlines Joint Stock Company, the subjects Nguy Nhu Thanh, Do Van Hung, and Le Van Hung repeatedly stole a total of 8,167 liters of Jet A1 oil and sold them to Vu The Hung and Vu Van Dung, earning nearly 95 million VND.

From this amount, the three technical drivers Thanh, Hung, and Hung each benefited more than 31 million VND. After purchasing the above Jet A1 oil, Vu Van Dung and Vu The Hung hired Huynh Duc Dung to transport it and sell it to Tran Van Suu at the price of 395,000 VND/30 liter can. Hung and Dung benefited more than 13 million VND to share.

The total amount of oil that Suu bought from the group of thieves was 272 cans with a total volume of more than 8 thousand liters. Of this oil, Suu consumed about 2 thousand liters, making illegal profits. The remaining oil that Suu hid and waited to sell was caught red-handed and confiscated by the investigating agency.

During the investigation, the Investigation Police Agency - Ministry of Public Security determined that a number of individuals, including engineers, technical staff, and heads of maintenance support departments of Jetstar Pacific, were irresponsible and allowed the subjects to steal Jet A1 fuel and sell it without being detected.

However, Jetstar has requested not to prosecute these officers because of the nature of their work... Considering that Jetstar Pacific has disciplined the officers who violated the law, the investigation agency will not initiate prosecution.
