8 young men were fined 88 million VND for not complying with the order to undergo a medical examination for military service.
Despite the order to be called for a medical examination for military service in 2023, 8 young men in Phong Dien district, Thua Thien-Hue province did not appear at the correct time and place for the medical examination and had no valid reason, so they were administratively fined 88 million VND by the People's Committee of Phong Dien district.
On the afternoon of December 8, the People's Committee of Phong Dien district (Thua Thien-Hue province) announced that the unit had just issued a decision to sanction administrative violations in the field of national defense and cryptography for 8 cases of non-compliance with the order to undergo medical examination for military service in 2023.

The cases punished include: Tran Duc Phuc (born in 1996); Nguyen Ngoc Vu (born in 1996); Le Cong Linh (born in 1996); Bui Quang Thien Phuoc (born in 1998); Doan Van Quoc Nhan (born in 1998); Doan Van Cuong (born in 1999); Le Do Ngoc Nhan (born in 2002) and Nguyen Ngoc Trung Hau (born in 1999; all residing in Phong Thu commune, Phong Dien district).
Previously, on November 14, the Commander of the Phong Dien District Military Command ordered the above citizens to be called for a medical examination for military service in 2023. However, these people did not appear at the correct time and place for medical examination stated in the military service medical examination order, without a valid reason.
Pursuant to the provisions of Clause 1, Article 6, Decree No. 120/2013/ND-CP of the Government regulating administrative sanctions for violations in the field of national defense and cryptography, amended and supplemented in Clause 8, Article 1, Decree 37/2022/ND-CP, the Chairman of Phong Dien District People's Committee issued a decision to sanction the above 8 violations with a fine of 88 million VND, each case was fined 11 million VND.
