8 provinces of Vietnam and Laos held a meeting on drug prevention and control in Nghe An

On the afternoon of September 15, at Cua Lo town, leaders of Nghe An Provincial People's Committee welcomed and greeted delegates attending the conference on drug prevention and control between 8 provinces including: Hua Phan, Luang Prabang, Phong Sa Li, Xieng Khouang (Laos); Nghe An, Thanh Hoa, Son La, Dien Bien (Vietnam).

Welcoming the delegation to Nghe An province were comrades: Major General Nguyen Huu Cau - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Director of the Provincial Police; Le Ngoc Hoa - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, representatives of leaders of provincial departments, branches and sectors.

On the Lao side, there were comrades: Pheng Kan Nha Phep - Deputy Secretary, Deputy Governor of Hua Phan; Thong Xi Xau Xu Li Phim - Deputy Governor of Phong Sa Li; representatives of the leaders of Luang Prabang, Hua Phan, Xieng Khouang, Phong Sa Li provinces (Laos); representatives of the leaders of Thanh Hoa, Son La, Dien Bien provinces (Vietnam); representatives of the leaders of the Lao Ministry of Security and the Vietnamese Ministry of Public Security.

Maintained for many years, this year, Nghe An province hosted the 19th Drug Prevention and Control Conference between 8 Vietnamese and Lao provinces.

Speaking at the ceremony, Vice Chairman of Nghe An Provincial People's Committee Le Ngoc Hoa expressed his pleasure to welcome the leaders representing the delegation to attend.

This is an opportunity for the provinces to strengthen solidarity, friendship, cooperation and development among the functional forces of 8 provinces in the work of preventing and combating drugs. At the same time, it is an opportunity for Nghe An to introduce to Lao friends and other provinces about the land and people of the friendly and hospitable homeland.

Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Ngoc Hoa expressed his hope that the 19th conference on drug prevention and control between 8 provinces of Vietnam and Laos in 2019 will be a great success, marking new and better developments in drug prevention and control between Vietnam and Laos.

Tomorrow morning (September 16), the 19th drug prevention and control conference in 2019 will be held in Cua Lo town (Nghe An).

On the sidelines of the program, the Organizing Committee arranged other activities for delegates to have the opportunity to visit and learn about Nghe An - the homeland of President Ho Chi Minh.
