9 fishermen were rescued after a day drifting at sea
(Baonghean.vn) - At 1:00 a.m. this morning (December 8), the fishing boat in distress with registration number NA-94113-TS and 9 crew members were brought safely to Cua Lo port (Cua Lo town) by search and rescue ship SAR 411.
Previously, on December 6, fishing boat NA-94113-TS was fishing in Nghe An waters, about 50 nautical miles from shore, when water flooded into the engine room, causing it to lose its ability to maneuver. There were 9 crew members on board, all from Nghe An.

The situation was extremely dangerous because the sea area where the ship was operating had strong monsoon winds of level 6-7, with waves 2-3m high. The crew on board used measures to overcome the problem and prevent the ship from sinking, but to no avail.
Faced with the urgent situation, the captain of ship NA-94113-TS called the on-duty system of the Vietnam Maritime Search and Rescue Coordination Center to request emergency rescue.

The Center has provided safety instructions to the captain to minimize the risk of sinking the ship and prepare a rescue plan when necessary. Realizing that there were no active ships around the fishing vessel in distress, the Center has dispatched the search and rescue ship SAR 411 to rescue the fishing vessel NA-94113-TS.
At 5:00 p.m. on December 7, the rescue team on the SAR ship successfully approached the fishing boat NA-94113-TS. At this time, the crew on the ship was very tired and panicked after many hours of fighting the rough waves.
After providing medical care and restoring the health of the crew members, the SAR 411 rescue ship brought the 9 crew members safely to shore. The fishing boat NA-94113-TS was also towed and brought to shore for repairs.
