(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of May 23, comrade Nguyen Xuan Duong - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee and Mr.Lee Young Chan - President of the Korea Health Industry Development Institute signed a Memorandum of Understanding on medical cooperation between Nghe An province and this Institute on 9 contents.
Attending the meeting were comrade Le Minh Thong - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; representatives of leaders of a number of relevant departments and branches.

Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Nguyen Xuan Duong - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee emphasized that in recent times, implementing the foreign policy, the relationship between Nghe An province and Korean partners has been increasingly developed. Especially in the field of economic development, the import-export turnover between Nghe An and Korea has been increasing.
The province is also becoming a destination for Korean investors, with 15 foreign direct investment projects from Korea to date with a total committed capital of over 173 million USD. In addition, Posco Group, Korea is carrying out procedures to implement the Quynh Lap 2 Thermal Power Plant project with an investment capital of up to 2.5 billion USD.

Korea is also a country with ODA capital with highly effective projects. Funding from non-governmental organizations from Korea is also contributing positively to the lives and livelihoods of the province. In particular, in the field of labor export, Nghe An currently has about 5,000 workers working in Korea.
Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Xuan Duong assessed: The potential for cooperation between Nghe An province and Korea is still very large. The province's viewpoint is to always welcome, be ready to cooperate, and create the most favorable conditions for Korean partners to cooperate and invest in the province. This includes cooperation in the medical field, the foundation of which is the Memorandum of Understanding signed by both sides.
Comrade Nguyen Xuan Duong believes that with the attention and efforts of both sides, the contents of the Memorandum of Understanding will soon be put into practice and achieve the highest efficiency, contributing to medical work and health care for the people of Nghe An province.

Mr. Lee Young Chan emphasized the growing relationship between Vietnam and Korea in all fields. Regarding the medical field, although this is the first cooperation, it promises to bring success in the future in this field between Korea and Nghe An province.
The President of the Korea Health Industry Development Institute also affirmed that he will promote the cooperation process to implement the contents of the Memorandum of Understanding into life, thereby improving the skills of human resources in the provincial health sector, while improving the quality of medical examination and treatment for the people of the province.

Investment cooperation to establish healthcare systems (Medical IT, HIS, EMR, ...) 5. Co-host of medical exchange councils and conferences on public health. 6. Conduct general research on current interests in health and medical issues. 7. Cooperation on hospital licensing in Nghe An province. 8. Cooperation in granting medical licenses to Korean doctors in Vietnam. 9. Other areas of interest to be jointly considered and decided by the parties. |
