Hashukji disappeared on October 2 after entering the Saudi consulate in Istanbul, Türkiye. It was later reported that he may have been killed at the consulate.
"The Kingdom completely rejects any threats or attempts to hurt with statements about the introduction of economic sanctions. The use of political pressure or false accusations does not shake the Kingdom, nor its stance and leading position in the Arab and Islamic world. The Kingdom affirms that it will respond with tougher measures in case of any move against the country," said a representative of Riyadh.
He pointed out that the Saudi economy plays an important role in world life so if it is affected, it will have a global impact.
