Warm 'An tinh vi, giam' in Hanoi
(Baonghean.vn) - On the evening of December 24, at Au Co Theater in Hanoi, the Association of Nghe An and Ha Tinh compatriots organized the program "Love of Vi and Giam" to celebrate the 5th anniversary of UNESCO's recognition of Nghe Tinh Vi and Giam folk songs as an intangible cultural heritage of humanity.
Attending the program were comrades: Vuong Dinh Hue - Politburo member, Deputy Prime Minister; Nguyen The Ky - Party Central Committee member, General Director of Voice of Vietnam; and Mr. Le Doan Hop - former Party Central Committee member, former Secretary of Nghe An Provincial Party Committee, former Minister of Information and Communications, Chairman of Nghe An Association in Hanoi; Ta Quang Ngoc - former Party Central Committee member, former Minister of Fisheries; Nguyen Canh Dinh - former Party Central Committee member, former Minister, Head of the Office of the President;Dang Quoc Tien - former Deputy Minister of Home Affairs, Chairman of the Ha Tinh Association in Hanoi.He invited officials, businesses, and workers who are children of Nghe An - Ha Tinh people living and working in Hanoi to attend.

Over the past 5 years, the work of "Preserving and promoting the values of Nghe Tinh Vi and Giam folk songs" has been gradually promoted strongly, including many scientific seminars, investigations, field trips, collecting, researching and documenting melodies, promoting socialization in activities, building Vi and Giam folk song clubs in all regions of the two provinces, organizing mass art festivals...
These activities contribute significantly to promoting this art to a wide audience at home and abroad, raising the level of traditional Vietnamese art in the eyes of international friends.
