Warm program 'Mid-Autumn Festival for Children' in Nghia Lac commune (Nghia Dan)
(Baonghean.vn) - The program brought joy and meaningful gifts to children in remote communes of Nghia Dan district.
On the evening of September 28 (ie August 14 of the lunar calendar), in Nghia Lac commune (Nghia Dan), the Department of Labor - Invalids and Social Affairs coordinated with the People's Committee of Nghia Dan district to organize the program "Mid-Autumn Festival for Children".
Attending the program were National Assembly delegates: Major General Tran Duc Thuan - Standing Member of the National Assembly's National Defense and Security Committee; Vi Van Son - Member of the Provincial Party Executive Committee, Head of the Ethnic Minorities Committee of Nghe An province.
Also attending were members of the Provincial Party Executive Committee: Vo Van Dung - Deputy Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department; Doan Hong Vu - Director of the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs; comrades representing leaders of a number of departments, branches and the People's Committee of Nghia Dan district.

Nghia Lac is a remote commune of Nghia Dan district, ethnic minorities account for nearly 98%. The whole commune has nearly 900 children, of which more than 200 children are from poor households, orphans, and disabled children.

Speaking at the program, on behalf of the provincial leaders and departments, comrade Bui Van Hung - Deputy Director of the Department of Labor - Invalids and Social Affairs commended and praised the children of Nghia Dan district in general, Nghia Lac commune in particular, for their efforts and progress in studying and training in the past school year; especially, many children in remote areas, ethnic minority areas; children with difficult circumstances... but have strived to become good children, good students, good children of Uncle Ho.

The leaders of the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs also requested that in the coming time, Party committees, authorities at all levels, sectors, unions, families, organizations, individuals, businesses, and philanthropists inside and outside the province continue to pay attention to creating the best conditions for children, especially children in special and difficult circumstances in the province, helping them overcome difficulties and integrate into life.
At the program, the Organizing Committee presented gifts to the Provincial Party Committee - People's Council - People's Committee - Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Nghe An province; gifts from the Provincial Children's Fund Council and the Provincial Association for the Protection of Children's Rights and Support of the Disabled to students in difficult circumstances.


In addition, there are also gifts from the District Party Committee - People's Council - People's Committee - Fatherland Front Committee and agencies and units of Nghia Dan district.


On this occasion, the Nghe An Association in Hanoi presented computers to Nghia Lac Primary School and Nghia Loi Primary School; Bao Viet Company presented bicycles to disadvantaged students in Nghia Dan district.
