Following the youth union members, we were present at the District Health Center to cook free porridge for poor patients. The program "Charity porridge pot" is maintained regularly every Thursday from the contribution and support of the youth union members of communes, towns, and affiliated youth union branches in the area and mobilized support from businesses and benefactors in the entire district.

Each distribution, there will be 2 large pots of porridge cooked, equivalent to an average of 120-130 free porridge portions distributed. Since the beginning of the year, more than 3,000 porridge portions have been distributed to poor patients.

Duong Thi Diem Quynh - an active volunteer of the Youth Union of High School 1-5 said: "I have participated in this activity many times, but every time I feel the same emotions. Being able to personally distribute hot porridge and seeing the smiles and joy of the patients and their families when receiving the porridge, I and my friends also feel happy. Although the activity is small, it is very meaningful to us."

Mr. Nguyen Van Nam - a relative of a patient in Nghia Mai commune shared: "The bowls of porridge from the volunteers are very delicious, showing love and sharing difficulties with poor patients like us. Perhaps the kindness in each bowl of porridge has added a precious source of spiritual strength for us patients to feel secure in our treatment."

Mr. Vo Duc Tung - Deputy Secretary of the District Youth Union said: "The charity porridge program has been held regularly since the beginning of the year, attracting a large number of youth union members to actively participate."

Hopefully, in the coming time, the "Charity Porridge Pot" activity will receive more support from individuals and organizations, contributing to helping poor patients reduce their difficulties, gain more faith and determination to overcome illness thanks to the sharing of the community and youth union members./.
