Plot to transport 6 heroin cakes by sea in Cua Lo

At 6:00 p.m. on December 21, in Nghi Thuy ward, Cua Lo town, the town police in coordination with the PCMT Special Task Force No. 2 (Coast Guard Command), the Drug Department (Nghe An Police) successfully fought against Project LM2212, arrested a Mong ethnic group subject, seized 6 rectangular cakes, the subject initially confessed that it was heroin.

Faced with the above situation, Cua Lo Town Police in collaboration with PCMT Task Force No. 2 (Coast Guard Command), Nghe An Police Drug Department established a special project coded LM 2212 and determined to destroy the above illegal drug trafficking ring.

According to information, the detectives grasped and identified the subject Va Ba Phenh (born in 1980; residing in Muong Long commune - Ky Son district - Nghe An province) as the subject who regularly transported illegally in the above line.

After a period of actively monitoring the subject's developments, at about 6:00 p.m. on December 21, 2018, in block 10, Nghi Thuy ward, Cua Lo town, when Phenh brought goods into Cua Lo port tourist area to prepare for the transaction, he was approached by detectives and caught red-handed. At the time of arrest, the subject voluntarily took out 6 rectangular cakes measuring 16 cm x 12 cm x 2 cm containing 2,106.81 grams of white powder, which Phenh confessed was heroin.
