Earlier, at around 9:30 a.m. the same day, a resident came to this family and discovered something unusual, so he went in to check and discovered that a woman named Hong (about 35 years old), Mr. Chinh's wife, had died near the entrance, with many blood stains around.

Upon receiving the information, the police quickly arrived, sealed off the scene, conducted an autopsy, and discovered that Mr. Chinh and three other family members had also died, and their bodies had begun to decompose.
According to the locals, the homeowner is from Thanh Hoa and works in stainless steel gutter manufacturing; this family is also considered well-off in the area.
Before that, on the afternoon of the 27th of Tet, people saw this family holding a very crowded year-end party. After that, the homeowner's wife told the neighbors that she went to straighten her hair.

However, by the morning of the 28th, no one in the alley had seen anyone from this family appear. Many friends in the neighborhood called the couple to invite them to exercise, but the phone rang and no one answered.
Neighbors said the family's SH motorbike was still in the yard. Meanwhile, the truck was still parked in front of the yard and no one knew where it went. Another detail was that in the afternoon of the same day, when people entered the yard, they were attacked by the homeowner's large dog with a ferocious attitude.
Major General Phan Anh Minh, Deputy Director of Ho Chi Minh City Police, is also present at the scene to direct.
