On the morning of April 26, Anh Son district held a ceremony to award outstanding achievements in the fight against illegal sand mining. Previously, at 10:00 a.m. on April 8, 2018, in Hamlet 1, Linh Son Commune, Anh Son District Police coordinated with PC 68 Department, Nghe An Provincial Police to arrest 7 boats illegally exploiting sand and gravel, including boats of Nguyen Van Anh (born 1991); Pham Van Quan (born 1978); Pham Van Tri (born 1994), Le Van Hung (born 1980), Pham Van Hong (born 1974), Hoang Van Trung (born 1982), Pham Van Khai (born 1995); seized evidence of 24m³sand, gravel and 7 illegal mining boats.

At 10:10 a.m. on April 24, the Movement Building Team - Anh Son District Police made a record of 2 boats of the subjects Vo Van Son (born 1969) residing in village 4, Hung Son commune; Pham Van Binh (born 1986) residing in village 8, Hung Son commune for illegally exploiting sand on Lam River, through village 5, Hung Son commune, confiscating 7m³ gravel

Also on April 24, at 10:30 a.m., a record was made of a boat of Pham Van Y (born 1967), residing in village 4, Thanh Son commune, who was dredging sand on Lam river, passing through village 3, Thanh Son commune, and 7 m of sand was seized.³ sand.

On April 24, the Criminal - Economic - Drug Team, Anh Son District Police in coordination with PC 68 Department, Provincial Police, conducted patrols and controls on the Lam River area through Long Son, Khai Son, and Linh Son communes, discovered and arrested 3 boats illegally exploiting sand and gravel, and seized 10m³ Sand and gravel including boats of the subjects: Nguyen Viet Thuan (born 1962), Pham Hong Hai (born 1985), Nguyen Thi Thuan (born 1960), 3 boat owners all residing in village 1, Lang Son commune.

At the ceremony, the leaders of Anh Son district presented flowers and commended the outstanding achievements that the district police officers and soldiers had achieved in the past time.
