Australia warns people not to migrate illegally by boat
(Baonghean.vn) - If you come to Australia illegally by boat, you will have to return to your starting point, you will never set foot on Australian soil - that is the message of the communication session for 500 people in Dien Ngoc commune (Dien Chau).
On the evening of May 29, Nghe An Border Guard coordinated with the International Organization for Migration (IOM) and local authorities to organize a community communication session on preventing illegal immigration by boat from Vietnam to Australia.
The communication session took place in Dien Ngoc commune (Dien Chau district) with the participation of about 500 local people.

Through the dramatization of the folk play “At the End of the Road” and drawing lots to answer questions, people were informed and warned about the dangers and difficulties they would face when migrating illegally.
The Australian Embassy representative also informed about the situation and policy of the Australian Government in preventing and handling foreign citizens illegally migrating to Australia.

Since September 2013, the Australian Government has implemented the toughest border protection campaign with the message: "If you board a boat without a visa, you will never set foot on Australian soil. Boats carrying illegal immigrants when entering Australian territorial waters will be arrested and forced to return to where they came from," the Australian Embassy representative affirmed.

Through specific visual stories and useful information to help people in Dien Ngoc commune in particular and people in coastal areas in general be more vigilant against fraudulent tricks and make the right decisions, not risking their lives and money to illegally immigrate to Australia.
