Clinton: 'Putin wants me to lose the US election'

Former US presidential candidate Hillary Clinton is convinced that Donald Trump's aides helped Russia interfere in the 2016 election and that the Russian president wanted her to lose. Clinton stated this in an interview with USA Today on the occasion of the launch of Hillary Clinton's new book 'What Happened?'

"There was definitely contact, and there was some understanding between Trump and Russia. Because I'm convinced that Putin wanted me to lose so that Trump could win... I also have no doubt that the Trump campaign staff and other aides went to great lengths to hide their contacts with Russia," Clinton said.
