Three welders stole nearly 20 meters of electric cable.

(Baonghean.vn) - Seeing many coils of copper wire with no one watching over them, 3 greedy workers cut and stole 19.5 meters of wire, took the copper core and sold it.

On December 8, the Investigation Police Agency of Nghi Loc District Police issued a decision to prosecute the case and prosecute Nguyen Hong Diep (born 1988), Nguyen Cong Linh (born 1991), and Hoang Van Linh (born 1992), all residing in Thinh Son Commune, Do Luong District, for theft of property.

On December 4, Diep, Linh, and Linh were working at the Nghi Thiet Cement Grinding Station (belonging to Song Lam Nghe An Cement Joint Stock Company) when they saw many coils of copper-cored electric wire outside, far from the security guard. The three subjects were greedy and discussed stealing the copper cores to sell.

Waiting until 7:30 p.m. the same day, the three men used a pair of pliers and a pair of metal shears to walk into the factory's electrical wire yard. There, the three men stole 19.5 meters of electrical wire worth VND10,120,000. The wire was stripped of its outer sheath and cut into three pieces. Each man dragged a piece of wire to his processing yard. Then, the men continued to cut the wires into short pieces.

When the three subjects were taking the stolen electric wires out of the yard, they were discovered by the Nghi Loc District Police and the Cua Lo - Ben Thuy Port Border Guard Station. Nguyen Cong Linh was arrested. Nguyen Hong Diep and Hoang Van Linh fled.

On December 5, the Nghi Loc District Police Investigation Agency issued an emergency arrest warrant for Nguyen Hong Diep and Hoang Van Linh. At the investigation agency, Diep, Linh, and Linh confessed to all of the above-mentioned acts of property theft.

The case is currently being further investigated by Nghi Loc Police.
