Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh signed decisions appointing Ms. Le Thi Thu Hang and Mr. Do Hung Viet as Deputy Ministers of Foreign Affairs.
On December 2, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh signed decisions appointing Ms. Le Thi Thu Hang and Mr. Do Hung Viet as Deputy Ministers of Foreign Affairs.
Before being appointed as Deputy Ministers, Ms. Le Thi Thu Hang and Mr. Do Hung Viet both held the position of Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs.
New Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Le Thi Thu Hang was born in 1972 and graduated with a BA in English from the University of Education (VNU Hanoi). Ms. Hang also has a BA in Law from the Hanoi Law University.

Ms. Le Thi Thu Hang has a master's degree in Diplomacy and International Communication from the University of the West of England (UK). She is fluent in English and Russian.
Deputy Minister Le Thi Thu Hang has many years of experience working at the Department of Press and Information (Ministry of Foreign Affairs), holding many positions, and is a person with a lot of experience working with domestic and international press.
Since 1996, she started working at the Department of Press Information, Ministry of Foreign Affairs. In May 2001, she became an Attaché at the Embassy of Vietnam in the Russian Federation. After her term in the Russian Federation, she returned to work at the Department of Press Information.
She used to be Deputy Director of the Press and Information Department, before becoming Minister Counselor - Second Person of the Vietnamese Embassy in the UK (term 2012-2015). In March 2017, she was appointed Director of the Press and Information Department, spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Mr. Do Hung Viet used to be Minister Counselor - Deputy Head of the Vietnamese Delegation to the United Nations (New York, USA), Deputy Director of the Permanent Department of the APEC Vietnam Secretariat in 2017. In 2019, he was appointed Deputy Director and then Director of the Department of International Organizations, Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Currently, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has 5 deputy ministers assisting Foreign Minister Bui Thanh Son, including Mr. Nguyen Minh Vu, Ha Kim Ngoc, Pham Quang Hieu, Do Hung Viet and Le Thi Thu Hang.
