Handing over 3 subjects of illegal fireworks trafficking to Dien Chau Police

(Baonghean.vn) - On January 22, the Department of Administrative Management of Social Order (PC 64), Provincial Police just handed over 3 subjects illegally trading 69 kg of smuggled fireworks to Dien Chau District Police for further investigation and handling.

Previously, by professional measures, the PC64 Criminal Police Team - Nghe An Police under the direction of Major Nguyen Thanh Le - Deputy Head of PC64 identified a number of subjects in Yen Thanh and Dien Chau districts who regularly went to Laos to buy fireworks and brought them back to Dien Chau district for consumption.

At 6:00 p.m. on January 20, on National Highway 48 in Hamlet 6, Dien Lam Commune, Dien Chau District, the Traffic Police team ambushed and detained a car with a Lao license plate carrying 69 kg of smuggled firecrackers, and arrested three subjects illegally trading in firecrackers, including Nguyen Van Hau (born in 1988) and Nguyen Van Thuc (born in 1983), both residing in Ngoc Son Hamlet, Do Thanh Commune (Yen Thanh) and Vu Quang Ban (born in 1992), residing in Hamlet 5, Bac Lam, Dien Lam (Dien Chau).

The subjects and exhibits were arrested.

On the afternoon of January 22, PC 64 Department handed over the 3 suspects and all the evidence including 69 kg of firecrackers and the car - the vehicle transporting the illegal firecrackers mentioned above to Dien Chau District Police for handling according to the law. Currently, Dien Chau Police has prepared a file to expand the investigation of the case to handle according to the law.

The smuggled fireworks were seized by the police.
