Handing over support money to build Great Solidarity houses for poor households in Dien Chau district

The family of Mrs. Tang Thi Hai in Hamlet 2, Dien Dong Commune, Dien Chau District is a poor household with extremely difficult circumstances. The family consists of only a mother and a daughter. She herself is nearly 90 years old, sick and bedridden. Her daughter is over 50 years old, disabled since childhood and cannot walk. The mother and daughter's livelihood depends on social security benefits.

The house where Mrs. Hai and her son live has been damaged and dilapidated for a long time, and is in danger of collapsing. The wish for a solid house, where one does not have to worry about taking shelter during storms, has not been fulfilled for many years.

With the spirit of helping each other, the Fatherland Front Committee of Dien Chau district and Dien Dong commune called on the community to join hands to help Mrs. Hai's family.

After nearly 2 months of construction, the solidly built level 4 house with a total area of ​​42m2 was completed and put into use.²… with a total construction cost of over 100 million VND. Of which, the “For the Poor” Fund of Dien Chau district supported 30 million VND, the Fund for the Poor of Dien Dong commune supported 10 million VND, nearly 30 million VND from cash, in-kind, and working days contributions from departments, organizations of Dien Dong commune and from brothers, relatives, and neighbors.
