Every year, Nghi Dong commune allocates capital from the local budget to the Policy Bank with an amount of 15 million VND/year, to create conditions to support poor households in economic development, hunger eradication and poverty reduction. At the same time, it directs political and social organizations to do a good job of propaganda and mobilizing idle capital among the people to mobilize market savings capital in the 3 years of 2021 - 2023, reaching nearly 15 billion VND.

During the period from 2014 to 2022, Nghi Dong commune received loans from the Nghi Loc District Social Policy Bank Transaction Office for 1,234 poor households and policy beneficiaries, with a turnover of 39,542 billion VND. Preferential credit capital has helped poor households and policy beneficiaries increase their income, ensure their lives and gradually escape poverty; contributing to economic growth, price stability, inflation control, and reducing the poverty rate in the commune by 0.5-0.7% each year.

Speaking at the meeting, the leaders of Nghi Loc district and Nghi Dong commune said that Nghi Dong is a commune located in the Southeast Economic Zone, with a large area of ​​agricultural land recovered for conversion, and a need for capital for production, business, and career conversion. Therefore, they requested that superiors pay attention to supplementing capital for the job creation loan program, capital for average households, and increasing the loan amount for the clean water and environmental sanitation program. Supporting and increasing capital sources to meet the loan needs of unemployed workers, reducing the situation of rural youth without jobs, leading to social evils and black credit.

At the meeting, members of the monitoring delegation and representatives of political and social organizations in the commune also discussed and clarified related issues.

Head of the monitoring delegation Do Ngoc An suggested that Nghi Loc district and Nghi Dong commune continue to balance and prioritize the allocation of local budgets entrusted to the Social Policy Bank to supplement capital sources for the poor and other policy beneficiaries; At the same time, the entrusted organizations should further promote their role in inspecting and supervising the implementation of capital sources strictly, without bad debts.
