Government Committee for Religious Affairs works in Ky Son district
(Baonghean.vn) - On June 28, a working delegation of the Government Committee for Religious Affairs led by Mr. Nguyen Anh Chuc - Deputy Head of the Government Committee for Religious Affairs had a working session on the religious activities of the Mong people and issues in state management in Ky Son district.
Also attending were comrades: Pham Quoc Vinh - Deputy Head of Religious Affairs Department of the Department of Home Affairs; Nguyen Huu Minh, Deputy Secretary of the District Party Committee, Chairman of the District People's Committee.

According to the report of the District People's Committee, currently religious activities in Ky Son area are taking place normally and stably.

These results were achieved thanks to the Party committees, authorities, the Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations strictly implementing the Central and provincial directives on religious and belief work; strengthening information and propaganda work; organizing dialogues between the heads of the Party committees and district authorities with the people of hamlets where Mong people live; organizing the "Great National Unity" Festival with rich content, such as bull fighting, po po throwing. Many national cultural values have been preserved, maintained and promoted, such as Mong people's performance culture, panpipe dancing, while gradually eliminating customs and practices that are no longer suitable for the current situation. The material and spiritual life of the people and compatriots has been increasingly improved, and the intellectual level has been gradually raised. People of all ethnic groups believe in and implement the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's policies and laws, actively participate in local movements, and develop the economy and society.

Speaking at the meeting, comrade Nguyen Anh Chuc - Deputy Head of the Government Committee for Religious Affairs requested Ky Son district to continue to strengthen propaganda, dissemination and legal education in the field of belief and religion; proactively fight against activities that take advantage of freedom of belief and religion to conduct illegal activities; effectively direct the fight against and prevent heretical religions and superstitious activities; build the organization and staff apparatus; train and foster professional skills for officials at all levels working in religious work.
In the afternoon of the same day, the delegation visited and encouraged village elders, Party Secretaries, and Village Chiefs in Huoi Tu and Muong Long communes.
