(Baonghean.vn) - There were 22 winning works out of 344 works entered in the National Press Award on Youth Union work and youth movements in 2020. Of which, the work "Creating 'new energy' for Youth Union activities" by Nghe An Newspaper won second prize.

On the morning of June 26, in Hanoi, the Central Executive Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union held the 2020 National Press Awards Ceremony for Youth Union work and youth movements.

Through 2 preliminary and final rounds, the Jury Council voted and selected 22 best works to award the National Press Award on Youth Union work and youth movement in 2019, including: 2 First prizes, 4 Second prizes, 6 Third prizes and 10 Encouragement prizes.

In which, Nghe An Newspaper won second prize in the category of reports, interviews, and articles on Youth Union work and youth movements with the topic "Creating 'new energy' for Youth Union activities" including 3 episodes by a group of reporters and collaborators: My Nga - Thanh Quynh - Phuong Thuy.

The National Press Award on Youth Union work and youth movement organized annually by the Central Youth Union aims to encourage and motivate journalists and authors with many good articles, vividly reflecting the lives of young people, deeply grasping the thoughts and aspirations, encouraging the will and desire to establish a career, volunteer and contribute of young people; at the same time, there are proposals contributing to innovation in the content and methods of activities in Youth Union work and youth movement.

Through the entries, we contribute to promoting the implementation of the Party's Resolutions at all levels and the Resolution of the 11th National Youth Union Congress; spreading models, activities, youth works, and exemplary youth examples.

In 2020, the Organizing Committee received 344 works in 2 categories: Reportage, interviews, and special articles; Works introducing typical examples of outstanding young people.

The works participating in this year's competition have reflected comprehensively, diversely and deeply, richly in themes, and have many innovations in expression. In particular, many "hot" issues of current events were promptly reflected, such as the vanguard role and responsibility of the Youth Union and youth in participating in the prevention and control of the Covid-19 epidemic; contributing opinions to the Youth Law; preventing accidents, injuries and violence, and child abuse; the role of the Youth Union in orienting and leading youth in the face of new trends and movements.

Thereby, suggesting to the Youth Union at all levels and functional agencies to find effective and suitable solutions to promote the Youth Union work and youth movement.
