According to RIA Novosti, journalist Adam Gaek of iDNES (Czech) said that Western countries are gradually agreeing to Ukraine's surrender and peace negotiations under Russia's conditions.
The information in the article notes that leaders of key powers such as Russia, China and the United States will not attend the summit in Switzerland on resolving conflicts and finding peace for Ukraine, which will take place on June 15-16.
Instead, the most prominent leaders attending the event will be German Chancellor Olaf Scholz and French President Emmanuel Macron.
“For the Ukrainians, this is an alarming signal. The main goal of their peace plan is to prevent the Western allies from talking about a ceasefire. Kiev fears that this will lead to the so-called North Korea scenario: the West de facto recognizes Russian control over parts of Ukraine,” the document says.
According to journalist Gaek, the West is often cautious about the need to negotiate with Russia. A diplomatic agreement was announced by high-ranking officials such as Italian Defense Minister Guido Crosetto, Czech President Petr Pavel and US presidential candidate Donald Trump. According to Ukrainian analyst Alena Getmanchuk, the current “boss” of the White House, Joe Biden, also have similar views.
“The side of the countries is guided by the principle of non-renunciation, “peace at any price” and ignores the fact that in the current conditions the negotiations will most likely resemble a discussion of the terms of Ukraine's surrender,” - the newspaperiDNESsaid
Earlier, President Vladimir Putin stressed that Russia is ready to continue the negotiations on Ukraine, but it is not yet known what proposals they will make. The Russian leader has repeatedly warned that Kiev should not use the peaceful solution to "buy time" for rearmament. "This is a serious dialogue about ensuring Russia's security," President Putin said.
