(Baonghean.vn) -Last night (October 12), a tropical depression in the eastern part of the Philippines strengthened into a storm.The strongest wind near the storm center is level 8 (60-75km/h), gusting to level 10, with very rough seas. This is storm number 11 and has the international name Khanun.

At 1:00 a.m. on October 13,The eye of the storm is located at about 18.1 degrees North latitude; 122.6 degrees East longitude, in the sea east of Luzon Island (Philippines). The strongest wind near the eye of the storm is level 8 (60-75km/h), gusting to level 10.

Forecast for the next 24 hours,The storm is moving in a West-Southwest direction, traveling 20-25km per hour and is likely to strengthen. At 1:00 a.m. on October 14, the center of the storm was at about 17.2 degrees North latitude; 117.6 degrees East longitude, about 580km East-Northeast of the Hoang Sa archipelago. The strongest wind near the center of the storm is level 9 (75-90km/hour), gusting to level 12.

Due to the influence of the storm, the eastern sea area of ​​the North East Sea has showers and thunderstorms; strong winds of level 6-7, near the center of the storm level 8, then increasing to level 9, gusting to level 12. The sea is very rough. The dangerous area in the next 24 hours (strong winds of level 6 or higher) is from latitude 14.0 to 21.5 degrees North; east of longitude 113.0 degrees East.
