Arrested 2 drug possession subjects with many criminal records
(Baonghean.vn) - After only a few days of monitoring and fighting, Tan Ky District Police successfully broke two cases, arresting two serious drug addicts with many criminal records for illegal possession of drugs.
On May 4, Tan Ky District Police said they were detaining two suspects, Nguyen Khanh Thac (born in 1965), residing in Thinh Thanh Commune, Yen Thanh District, and Tran Van Tuan (born in 1994), residing in Do Luong Town, Do Luong District, for illegal possession of drugs.
Previously, through the work of grasping the situation, Tan Ky District Police discovered that in the area, two subjects emerged: Nguyen Khanh Thac (born in 1965), residing in Thinh Thanh commune, Yen Thanh district and Tran Van Tuan (born in 1994), residing in Do Luong town, Do Luong district, who showed signs of collusion with a number of subjects to retail drugs to addicts in Tan Ky district.
Thac and Tuan are both heavy drug addicts and have criminal records, so they are very reckless and sophisticated.
Identifying the subjects' behavior as having a negative impact on security and order, causing public outrage, Tan Ky District Police reported to the Provincial Police leadership to establish a special project to combat them.
During the monitoring process and synchronous application of professional measures, on April 17 and May 1, in Tan Long and Ky Tan communes (Tan Ky), Tan Ky District Police successfully broke two special cases, arrested two subjects for illegal possession of narcotics, and seized nearly 130 grams of various types of drugs. Through the struggle, the subjects admitted to their crimes.
