Arrested 2 wanted criminals hiding in the Southern region

Among them, the wanted subject for the crime of "Murder" is Le Van Tinh (born in 1972), residing in Hung Thong commune, Hung Nguyen district.

37 years ago, at 8:30 p.m. on September 2, 1986, Le Van Tinh, the mastermind, and a number of young men residing in Hung Thong commune, Hung Nguyen district, organized ambushes to beat a number of young men from Hung Tan commune, Hung Nguyen district.

When leaving, Tinh carried a 40cm long bayonet, standing on 12/9 street near the Hung Tan Commune Health Station, Hung Nguyen District. When he saw a young man from Hung Tan Commune passing by, Tinh used an AK bayonet to stab the young man named NHC in the stomach.

The victim was taken to the hospital for emergency treatment, but the injury was too severe, and he died at 9:30 a.m. on September 3, 1986. During the investigation, Hung Nguyen District Police conducted verification and investigation, arrested the subjects, but Le Van Tinh fled the area. Therefore, Hung Nguyen District Police issued a wanted notice and requested the Criminal Police Department to issue a wanted notice for the subject for the act of "Murder".

After a long period of verification, by early July 2023, through professional measures, the "wanted" detectives of the Criminal Police Department (Nghe An Police) identified a subject named Chau Van Tinh (born in 1968), living in Cam My district, Dong Nai province, with similar characteristics to the wanted subject Le Van Tinh. Under the direction of the provincial police leadership, on July 21, 2023, a working group of the Criminal Police Department (Nghe An Police) was assigned to Dong Nai province to coordinate with Cam My district police to verify and arrest.

On July 27, 2023, after having sufficient information, documents, and evidence to determine that Chau Van Tinh was the subject Le Van Tinh, who was wanted by the Criminal Police Department for the crime of "Murder", the police force arrested Le Van Tinh in Xuan Duong commune, Cam My district, Dong Nai province.

Through the struggle, Le Van Tinh admitted to the crime he committed 37 years ago. After committing the crime in 1986, fearing arrest by the police, he fled to the southern provinces. During his time in hiding, he worked many jobs to make a living. When he arrived in Long Giao town, Cam My district, Dong Nai province, Le Van Tinh changed his identity and background to Chau Van Tinh, got married, and had 3 children.

While in the locality, the subject always lived a closed life, avoiding conflicts, with the purpose of concealing his criminal behavior until Tinh was arrested by the police.

In addition, on July 26, 2023, the Criminal Police Department's Special Task Force (Nghe An Police) also focused on fighting and successfully arresting Nguyen Tien Hiep (born in 1979), residing in Co Loa Commune, Dong Anh District, Hanoi City, wanted in April 2021 for the crime of "Organizing others to illegally flee abroad", according to the Wanted Decision of the Investigation Security Agency, Nghe An Provincial Police. After 2 years of being wanted, Nguyen Tien Hiep changed his personal information to Giang, and moved to live in Tan Phu Ward, District 7, Ho Chi Minh City.

On July 29, 2023, the Criminal Police Department (Nghe An Police) escorted two subjects Le Van Tinh and Nguyen Tien Hiep from the South to hand them over to units under Nghe An Police for further investigation and handling.
