Caught 3 cases of transporting nearly 2 tons of illegal animal products

At 1:45 a.m. on March 11, Dien Chau Traffic Police Station caught a case of transporting 45 kg of bird meat without a veterinary quarantine certificate from Dak Lak to Hanoi for consumption.

Previously, at around 5:00 a.m. on March 9, on National Highway 1A, through Dien Hong Commune, Dien Chau Traffic Police Station also seized 110 kg of beef tendons and fat that smelled bad. The product was transported by Mr. Nguyen Van Long (born in 1977), residing in Group 12, Nghia Lo Ward, Quang Ngai City, on a passenger bus from Quang Ngai to Hanoi.

1:00 p.m. March 8, through patrol and control on National Highway 1A, section through the communeDien Ky, Dien Chau district, Dien Chau Traffic Police Station inspected truck with license plate 37C-202.93 driven by Mr. Nguyen Van Loi (born in 1987), residing in hamlet 4, Son Hai commune, Quynh Luu district. The truck was carrying 37 sacks containing 1.8 tons of buffalo and cow hides without veterinary hygiene stamps.

The subject declared that all the goods were transported for hire by Mr. Pham Van Duc, Nghia Thuan commune, Thai Hoa town to Vinh city.

The drivers were administratively sanctioned in the veterinary field. All of the above products were handled by the Dien Chau Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Department according to the provisions of law.
