Arrest of Treasury officer causing damage of nearly 1 billion VND
Thanh Hoa police have just prosecuted the case, prosecuted and temporarily detained an official of the State Treasury of Nong Cong district for the crime of "irresponsibility causing serious consequences".
The defendant is Le Thanh Hai (born in 1972), residing in Te Nong commune, Nong Cong district, Thanh Hoa, an official of the State Treasury of Nong Cong district.
According to documents from the investigation agency, in 2019, Mr. Le Thanh Hai was a transaction officer at the State Treasury of Nong Cong district, in charge of controlling expenditures for Nong Cong 3 High School.

During the performance of his duties, Mr. Hai did not follow the correct procedures for controlling 19 records and payment vouchers created by Le Mai Sang (born in 1983), former accountant of Nong Cong 3 High School, and forged the signature of Mr. Luong Van Phan, Principal, regarding the 2019 purchase and repair expenses.
This action caused a total loss of nearly 1 billion VND to Nong Cong 3 High School.
Previously, on August 4, 2020, Thanh Hoa Police initiated a case, prosecuted the accused, and temporarily detained Le Mai Sang for embezzlement of property.
