Couple arrested for selling crystal meth with weapons in motel

On June 22, the investigation police agency of Nghi Loc District Police, Nghe An issued a decision to prosecute the case, prosecute the accused and issue a detention order for Nguyen Van Hung (born 1990), residing in Dong Linh village, Duy Ninh commune, Duy Tien district, Nam Ha province; Nguyen Thi Dung (born 1990), residing in block 4, Nghi Tan ward, Cua Lo town.

Previously, at 8:30 a.m. on June 16, at the cultural house of Hamlet 3, Nghi Xa Commune, Nghi Loc District, while implementing the order to attack and sweep drug crimes, the Nghi Loc District Police working group discovered and arrested 2 young men who were using crystal meth. Through the investigation, the subjects confessed to buying crystal meth from a young man named Hung in room 303 of the Hoang Gia motel, in Hamlet 11, Nghi Xa Commune.

After verification, at 9:00 a.m. the same day, the Criminal Investigation Police Team on Criminal - Economic - Drug - Environmental Crimes of Nghi Loc District Police executed an arrest warrant and urgently searched the residence of a subject named Hung. The functional force seized 5.3 grams of synthetic drugs in the form of crystal meth, 01 homemade sword, 02 knives, 01 set of tools for using crystal meth and 01 mobile phone. A young woman who was in the same room with Hung at this time was also invited by the working group to Nghi Loc District Police for questioning.

At the investigation agency, the identities of the two subjects were clarified. Hung and Dung confessed: the two subjects were close friends and were both addicted to crystal meth. Dung participated with Hung in buying and selling drugs at the motel.

Hung kept some weapons such as knives and homemade swords with him to "protect himself" from drug addicts and to deal with the authorities when discovered.

Currently, two subjects using crystal meth discovered at the cultural house of hamlet 3, Nghi Xa commune have been administratively punished. The case is being further investigated by the investigation agency./.
