Arrested a subject from Nghe An who was transporting 30 heroin cakes at the border
(Baonghean.vn) - Subject Lo Van Dung (residing in Thong Thu commune, Que Phong district) was caught red-handed while illegally transporting drugs from Laos to Vietnam for consumption.
Information from the Thanh Hoa Provincial Border Guard said: at 7:00 p.m. on September 27, 2019, at the border area of Tha Lau village, Sam To district, Hua Phan province (Laos), the Drug and Crime Prevention Force of the Thanh Hoa Provincial Border Guard coordinated with the Security Command of Hua Phan province (Laos) to catch red-handed the subject Lo Van Dung (born in 1988, hometown Hua Na 2 village, Que Phong district, Nghe An province) illegally transporting drugs from Laos to the border area of Thanh Hoa province for consumption.
At the scene, authorities seized 30 heroin cakes.

Expanding the investigation of the case, on the morning of September 28, 2019, the police arrested Thao Dia Tho (born in 1999, residing in Pa Khom village, Vieng Phan cluster, Muong Quan district, Hua Phan province, Laos). The seized evidence included 2 heroin cakes and 1 motorbike.
Currently, the Thanh Hoa Border Guard Command is coordinating with the Hua Phan Provincial Security Command to expand the investigation of the case, handing over the suspect and evidence to Lao authorities for handling according to regulations.
