Arrested director for fraudulently selling many plots of land in 'ghost' projects
Nguyen Van Tai created the Contract forms for transfer and capital contribution (but in essence they were Land Transfer Contracts) with false content.
On October 22, the Investigation Police Agency - Ho Chi Minh City Police issued an order to temporarily detain and search Nguyen Van Tai - Director of Nam Tai Real Estate Trading Company Limited (abbreviated as Nam Tai Company) for the act of"Fraudulent appropriation of property".
Based on the initial investigation results, it was determined that: Although the competent authorities had not yet approved the project's investment policy or granted it a license, since July 2, 2020, Nguyen Van Tai hired someone to draw up his own drawings and divide the above land into 119 plots (60-70m2/land) then sign the transfer and sale of land to customers (by signing a capital contribution contract to implement the project).

Mr. Tai signed with Mr. Nguyen Quang Thanh 6 contracts agreeing to transfer 17 plots of land under his name and the name of another person, under the name of the project invested by Nam Tai Company, with a transfer value of more than 58 billion VND. Mr. Thanh paid more than 31 billion VND.
Nguyen Van Tai created the Contract forms for transfer and capital contribution (but in essence, it was a Land Transfer Contract) with false content such as: "The project is completing the land use rights transfer documents, completing procedures to change land use purposes, completing project documents, converting planning into residential areas, investing in infrastructure, requesting permission to divide plots; the project has a domestic water supply system, drainage system, public lighting, internal traffic roads...", so that Mr. Thanh believed and signed the contract, transferred money. Thereby, Nguyen Van Tai appropriated the money.
In fact, these plots of land are in the planning of isolated green trees, projected roads, concentrated green land and are within the boundary of the investment project to build technical infrastructure and social infrastructure of Tan Tao Residential Center (Area A) by Khang Phuc Housing Investment and Trading Company Limited...
