Arrested for renting fireworks near New Year's Eve 2017

The seized evidence included two cakes of firecrackers with a total weight of about 8kg.

At 10:00 p.m. on January 27 (New Year's Eve), the patrol team of Cao Loc district police, Lang Son province, in coordination with the Mobile Police Department, Lang Son provincial police, caught a subject red-handed illegally transporting firecrackers at Dong Dang bridge, Dong Dang town, Cao Loc district, Lang Son province.

The suspect is named Pham Van Binh, born in 1975, residing in Hiep Hoa district, Bac Giang province. Through initial investigation, Binh stated that he was hired by someone to transport the fireworks by motorbike to deliver to another person in Dong Dang town. The seized evidence included 2 cakes of firecrackers with a total weight of about 8kg.

Mr. Nguyen Cong Truong, Vice Chairman of Lang Son Provincial People's Committee, Head of the Steering Committee for Fireworks Prevention and Control of Lang Son Province, commended the functional forces of Cao Loc District Police and the Mobile Police Department, Lang Son Provincial Police in the above incident and directed strict handling of violations related to fireworks in the province during this year's Tet holiday.

Currently, the authorities are urgently investigating to clarify the incident.
