Arrested thief nicknamed 'black cat' responsible for many major thefts

Cau Giay District Police (Hanoi) said that they have initiated a case, prosecuted the accused and detained Le Duc Anh (born in 1995; residing in My Dinh 2 ward, Nam Tu Liem district, Hanoi) for the crime of "Theft"theft of property" to investigate and handle according to the provisions of law.

After many days of ambush, Cau Giay District Police arrested the subject while he was breaking into a house on Khuc Thua Du Street.
The identity of the suspect was clarified as Le Duc Anh (born in 1995; residing in My Dinh 2 ward, Nam Tu Liem district). Duc Anh is nicknamed “black cat” because of his ability to climb and break in almost undetected. During the crime, the suspect always carried a knife with him, ready to fight back when discovered by people or the police.
During the investigation, the suspect confessed that on February 1, he broke into a house on Hoang Quoc Viet Street and stole 230 million VND.
In addition to the above incident, from January to March 2021, Duc Anh committed 7 other thefts in Dich Vong, Dich Vong Hau, Quan Hoa, Nghia Do wards in Cau Giay district and several other districts. The total value of the stolen property is about 500 million VND.
