Electing 3 additional members to the Executive Committee of the Nghe An Provincial Civil Servants' Trade Union

At the Conference, the Executive Committee of the Civil Servants' Trade Union elected 3 additional members of the Executive Committee of the Civil Servants' Trade Union for the 4th term, 2017 - 2022 due to the vacancy of 3 comrades who transferred to other jobs.

As a result, 100% of the delegates present agreed to elect 3 additional comrades: Dau Thi Minh Loan (Chairman of the Finance Department Trade Union), Dao Quang Thien (Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Office Trade Union) and Phan Van Thang (Chairman of the Provincial Radio and Television Station Trade Union).

Also this morning, the Civil Servants' Union held a conference to review union activities in the first 6 months of 2020; summarize 10 years of the emulation movement "Good at public work, good at housework" (2010 - 2020).

In the first 6 months of 2020, despite the impact of the Covid-19 epidemic, agencies and units under the Civil Servants' Union still organized many meaningful activities to celebrate major holidays and important events of the province in 2020.

In addition, since the beginning of the year, grassroots unions have responded to many activities launched by the Civil Servants' Union such as the "Tet Sum Vay" program, Workers' Month 2020 and women's activities.

In particular, responding to the call for "All people to support the prevention and control of Covid-19", 63/63 grassroots trade unions mobilized and raised nearly 2 billion VND. The Civil Servants' Trade Union also provided subsidies to 11 union members affected by the Covid-19 epidemic and promptly rewarded 5 groups and 7 individuals with outstanding achievements in the prevention and control of Covid-19.

Speaking at the conference, Vice Chairman of the Provincial Labor Federation Nguyen Chi Cong highly appreciated the efforts of the Civil Servants' Union and grassroots unions in recent times.

However, he also requested that in the coming time, trade union activities need to be more practical and effective. At the same time, it is necessary to focus on improving the quality of grassroots trade union activities. The implementation of emulation movements also needs to be practically built so that "each grassroots trade union has a good activity, each union member has a good job".

The Vice Chairman of the Provincial Federation of Labor also requested that grassroots unions strengthen supervision and inspection of activities. In addition, they should continue to promote the dissemination of documents and laws related to policies and rights of workers.

The conference also evaluated the results of 10 years of implementing the movement "Good at public affairs, good at home affairs". Over the past 10 years,The Civil Servants' Union has proactively organized the dissemination of the Party's policies, the State's laws and policies, and the Trade Union's policies on female cadres, the movement of female cadres, civil servants, public employees, workers, and women's activities.

In addition, grassroots trade unions also participate with the leaders of agencies and units to encourage and create conditions for training and educating female cadres to increase the proportion of women participating in the Executive Committee of trade unions at all levels, increase the proportion of key female trade union cadres, increase the proportion of women participating in leadership and management according to regulations on female cadre work, focusing on training and political theory training for female cadres.

Currently, grassroots trade unions have achieved a rate of female participation in the trade union executive committee of 30% or more; 100% of key trade union officials at all levels and female trade union officials at higher levels have been trained on gender equality and gender mainstreaming in trade union activities. 99.9% of female union members have achieved the title of "Good at public work, good at housework" at the grassroots level with more than 22,000 individuals.

Over the past 10 years, female union members in units have implemented 1,260 initiatives, more than 6,600 female union members received certificates of merit from campaigns and emulation movements, and 1,100 people received the title of Emulation Fighter at the grassroots level./.
